Numbers in german-
The number 60 is different in german
60 = sech + zig = sechzig
70 = sieb + zig = siebzig
Time in german -
In German we say "half to three", not "half past
two", so it will be:
"Es ist halb drei" - "It's half past two"
And if you want to say "It's two thirty", you say it
in German:
"Es ist zwei Uhr dreißig ".
Literally it means "It's two o'clock thirty".
Fruits and Vegetables -
If you like tomatoes and cucumbers, you'll say:
"Ich esse gern Tomate und Gurke" - "I always eat a tomato
and a cucumber eagerly."
